Privacy Policy

Pattolé is a small family estate. We collect as little about you as we can, we do not sell it, and we tell you plainly what we hold. This policy explains what that is.

This policy applies to pattole.com and its pages, operated by Subramanya Estate (“Pattolé”, “we”, “us”), Karnangeri Village, Madikeri, Kodagu, Karnataka 571201, India.

What we collect

Information you give us

• Your email address, if you ask to be notified when a lot is ready, or write to us about estate, hospitality or gifting enquiries.
• Anything you include in a message you send us — your name, or the details of your enquiry.

Information collected automatically

• Basic technical data that any web server records: IP address, browser and device type, referring page, and the pages you viewed. This is used to keep the site working and secure.
• Aggregate traffic statistics, if and when we use an analytics service. These tell us how many people visited a page, not who they are.

What we do not collect

• We do not ask for or store payment card details on this site.
• We do not collect sensitive personal data — health, biometric, financial or similar.
• We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not run third-party advertising trackers.

Why we hold it

• To reply to you. If you write, we need your address to answer.
• To tell you when coffee is ready. If you asked to be notified, we will write when a lot is released — occasionally, never on a schedule.
• To keep the site working and protect it from abuse.
• To meet our legal obligations where the law requires us to keep records.

Our lawful bases are your consent (for the notification list), our legitimate interest in operating and securing the site and in answering enquiries, and legal obligation where applicable.

Who else sees it

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only with the service providers we need in order to run the site:

• Our hosting provider, which serves these pages and keeps standard server logs.
• An email or list provider, if you join the notification list, to store your address and send the message you asked for.
• An analytics provider, where used, for aggregate visit statistics.
• Authorities, where we are legally required to disclose information.

Some of these providers operate servers outside India. Where your information is transferred abroad, it is done under the provider's own safeguards and contractual protections.

Cookies

This site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

It may store a small amount of data on your device for the site to function — for example, remembering that you have installed the site as an app, or caching pages so they load offline. Analytics, where used, may set a cookie to count a visit. You can clear or block this data in your browser at any time; the site will still work.

How long we keep it

• Notification list: until you ask to be removed.
• Enquiries and correspondence: as long as needed to deal with the matter, and afterwards only where a record is required.
• Server logs: a short period, in the ordinary course of operating the site.

Your rights

You may ask us to:

• Tell you what we hold about you, and give you a copy.
• Correct anything that is wrong.
• Delete your information, where we are not required to keep it.
• Stop using it for a purpose, or withdraw your consent.
• Remove you from the notification list — every message we send will carry a way to do this, and you can always write to us instead.

Children

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their details, write to us and we will delete them.

Keeping it safe

The site is served over HTTPS, and we hold what little we collect with reasonable care. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security — but we will tell you promptly if something happens that affects you.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update the version and date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting how we use your information will be notified to anyone on the list.
